Position Available At Jamshoro Power Company Limited:

  1. Project Implementing Unit (PIU Manager)

Qualifications and Skills Needed:

  1. Engineering Background: Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical/Mechatronics) and be registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC).
  2. Experience: Have at least 20 years of hands-on experience in Thermal Power Generation Plants, especially those with a capacity of at least 400 MW. Experience in commissioning greenfield projects leading to successful Commercial Operation Date (COD) is essential.
  3. Knowledge: Possess thorough knowledge of power plant operations and maintenance, including industry best practices. Experience in team building and transitioning plant operations from EPC contractors is highly desirable.
  4. Previous Engagements: Preference will be given to candidates with experience in multinational companies in the thermal generation field and a proven track record of leading teams in big thermal power generation projects.
  5. HSE Standards: Must be fully aware of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards.

Job Profile:

As an individual consultant, you will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing commercial operation activities and providing guidance to the Project Management Team.
  • Advising on commissioning processes to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
  • Developing strategies and overseeing their implementation to achieve the Commercial Operation Date (COD) on time.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to align activities with project planning.
  • Reviewing and finalizing commissioning, operation, and maintenance procedures.
  • Coordinating with JPCL’s team for efficient operation and maintenance of the project.
  • Managing contracts to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Facilitating the transition from COD to operation and maintenance activities.

Tenure and Remuneration:

The assignment is temporary, subject to satisfactory performance and the project’s needs. Remuneration will be negotiated based on qualifications and experience, either as a lump sum for the 6-month contract or on a monthly basis
